huh. you know, i don't own any of her albums. I've always just gone to see her live. I was a late introduction to her music because I spent so long on the christian music-only track (sigh) - so when I was introduced to her I was of concert-going age and loved it so much as a live thing because it meant time with Jay Dee and getting to hear the sound checks and all that good stuff that I somehow just saved her for that experience. I would say, simply from an ethical standpoint, to check out her most recent CD because her label dropped touring support for her so she's paying for all of that herself, and because she's not contractually bound to Sony while on tour, she's using her stage as a very political platform. Usually I have a bit of an issue with celebrities playing at politics because I don't feel like they really do their research - but Patti does. So anyway - starting with her latest cd is a greater contribution to her financially. But Horses is good too!
Jay Dee has the goatee, standing right next to her.
