So, I just called my senators and asked them not to release $87 billion to the Bush administration without requiring that they cooperate with the UN and secure the resignation of those responsible for the mismanagement (to put it extremely mildly) in Iraq. Moveon.org is organizing a campaign with a goal of 10,000 calls. If you check their website, it should be easy to find the basic information, including numbers to call. I've always been a whole lot more interested in grassroots politics than electoral measures, but things have gotten so bad that I think that participating in the simple actions the Moveon.org asks people to do is a smart way to try to give the politicians a clue that large numbers of people find the current situation both immoral and intolerable.
