Giving us the benefit of her expertise in cartoons, crazycrone has uncovered Etta, a fat friend of Wonder Woman's, wearing a snug "band" outfit and freeing her friend from chains in the 1940s.
crazycrone says she was " a strange little chubby sprite, fuelled on sweeties, and skilled at incapacitating baddies..."

crazycrone adds:

"There was also the immortal Little Herbie Popnecker, if boys are allowed. He was sort of late 50's, and had surreal adventures involving sucking on various types of magic lolipops. His macho father would always be complaining about what a fat lump he was, but Herbie had actually been off saving the universe all day,etc."

Herbie, yeah, every once in a while I think about him. Many is the time I've wished I could pull out the special "Hard-to-Get Cinnamon" flavor of lollipop and draw on its strength to vanquish evildoers.

The Etta character fascinates me. I kinda wish she did more physical things, but at least in the examples shown she always comes through.

I have seen panels of Etta in her sprite-size guise punching out bad Nazi-femme fatale types, but haven't found anything online, yet.
