That vest is a relic from the eighties. Jacky, who I was quite unreasonably devoted to in my high school and college years (imperfectly! painfully! but seriously!), and whose fashion sense I always admired, got it for me, and I wore it sparingly. But, yeah, it's a little bit of that Annie Hall thing you were talking about, huh?
So, last year, I came home from the fat girl flea with a great dress from Size Queen that I wore to the lammies.
This year, I would love to find a forties or fifties style dress (like Stop Staring makes, for instance) that fits and looks good. Also, maybe if I bring a tape measure, I can get a skillful person to take my measurements, since I never know, for instance, where my waist might be, or what circumference anything really is, and when I try to do it myself, it all comes out different every time...

i don't have any vests like that, although i might have a shirt from the flea that's similar. maybe i could wear a tie with it... hmmm...
