Voting in Northampton

It was foggy this morning. I had the lights on the trike turned on. At 7:30 or so, there was a traffic back up on Conz Street because of people turning in to vote at the new Senior Center, which is next store to where I used to vote. I went on the sidewalk to bypass the traffic, and when I got inside, there was a lavish book and bake sale going on. No line. Whoosh, big paper ballot into the ballot box. I bought a cupcake for fifty cents when I left.

Bake sale! What a great idea.

I remember when they laid the foundation for the Senior Center. It was only just built and not yet open when I moved away. How neat to hear about it open and bustling with voters.

It was bustling! I'd never been in there before, but they had a weight room full of new equipment and a cafe, and I don't even know what all else. And many white to grey haired volunteers and election officials.

They were raising money for several different organizations. There were oreo cheesecake cupcakes!
