Sweet and romantic hearts
Jul. 7th, 2004 08:18 pmI was just answering a question from
purejuice about where I'm reading tomorrow -- and the thought of her coming to a reading is exciting enough in itself, no joke -- when I ran across an utterly lovely review of the book under staff picks by Robert, the store's director of online services. Just what I needed, as I'm about to try to face packing! I'm in a rush, and can't get through to get the exact link at the moment, but if you go to the store's website, click on staff recommendations, and then click on "Robert" -- there it is!
Here's his first sentence:
Susan Stinson has captured my heart with the grace of her writing style and the quirky cast of characters that populate her third novel, Venus of Chalk.
And here's his last one:
As the story comes to a very satisfying close, Stinson lets us into the sweet and romantic hearts of all her characters, creating one of my favorite reads so far this year.
Oh!
