It's HERE!
It's here, it's here, the book's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And it is JUST SO BEAUTIFUL.
Small, sweet, fits in my hand. Oh. It's here! I just read the acknowledgements to my mother, and made her cry so much she couldn't talk, my dad had to take over the talking. Got to tell my big brother, who was so great during the writing of the book -- drove me around the country so I could take pictures out the window! He's an artist, was getting ready to give talk with a slide show at his gallery tonight. And I called my dear, dear friend, Sally Bellerose, who wrote a drop-dead terrific novel called The Girls' Club which hasn't been published yet, and who has been meeting with me every week for YEARS, read the manuscript more times than I can count ---- OOOOhhhh! I was on my way outside to do some writing -- better go -- BUT IT's HERE!!!!! AND IT's SO EXCITING.
Karen from Firebrand was very sweet and sent it to me early, so I got it right when I started to get the most edgy about wanting to see it! Left a message for her. WHOO!
And if you're someone I love, and I haven't called you yet -- don't worry, I will! (mm, unless I'm trying to surprise you by putting it in your hand and betting that you're not reading this.) I'm just beside myself!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't ever have too many of those !!!!!!!!! I'm sort of into the big tease part, that you'll have it soon, but not quite yet... oh, but the true fact is that I'm into everything about it, and if everybody can read English had already ready, mmm, that would make me happy, too.

Ohhh!
Re: Ohhh!
Oh, I hope it shows up in bookstores in the UK in May like it will here. I've asked Karen at Firebrand about how folks there can get it, and she says, "They can order it from us." But, surely, later on there will be more to it than that...

Re: Ohhh!
It's just that I don't know what distribution system Firebrand uses to get books to the UK -- I'm sure there's something, though. And it absolutely should be in Silver Moon.

Hey, you're going to the BEA, right? With varied, much appreciated help, I figured out a way to get there. So maybe I'll run into you wandering past the Soft Skull booth, or something...
